P1 Gravity Rush 2 Kat. Add to Wishlist Add to Compare. Kat, formerly Queen Alua, is the main protagonist of Gravity Rush and its sequel. Having started out as a lost girl with no memory, Kat quickly embraces a superhero role within the city of Hekseville as a shifter.
After the experiment causes the universe to tear itself apart, Kat isn't seen again until Raven returns from the Labyrinth. She is trapped in a frozen time state along with everyone else, and in the final episode, is almost purged from existence by the Collectors. When Raven returns to reality, Kat notices her friend looking sad for some reason, but neither of them are sure why. Because of the changes in history, the two became friends more easily than before.
In the first part, Kat is enjoying sights of the floating city, Jirga Para Lhao, while also indulging in numerous snacks. She buys a meat skewer for half price, but is attacked by Nevi before she gets a chance to enjoy it. She, along with her former rival Raven, and minimal contributions from Syd, eventually defeat the Nevi scourge, while noticing that the Nevi have been acting up, and the gravity storms are getting more frequent. In part two, Kat is at home with Raven, feasting on savory snacks and chatting away until an alarm is raised about a gravity disturbance at Neu Hiraleon.
Rather than head out for ice cream as planned, they instead decide to investigate the disturbance. They are greeted by a couple of strange cyborgs of unknown origins.
Despite getting her head stamped on, Kat and Raven defeat the cyborgs, which suddenly self-destruct and send both shifters, Syd, and Neu Hiraleon itself into a gravity storm. Kat ends up in an uncharted location along with Syd but separated from Raven, which sets up the plot for Gravity Rush 2. After a gravity storm damages their gravity suits, Lisa , their boss, rescues them from the site and takes them back to their residence, Banga.
After preventing his attempt to short-change the village, they travel to the floating city of Jirga Para Lhao for supplies. There, they realize that the city's rich are oppressing its poor through military force known as the Garrison and the use of Raven, who has been brainwashed to believe she is a super-soldier called Night Gale.
Kat battles Raven, freeing her and sparking an uprising against the Council, the city's usurping rulers. The insurrection succeeds, restoring the people of Banga to their rightful rule of Jirga Para Lhao. However, Neu Hiraleon appears, having been taken over by Nevi after landing in a mining site, and it destroys and kills the Council's floating island, Dourwa Hiraleon, and the head Council, respectively.
Kat and Raven defeat it and rescue Cecie, whom it was using as a power source. In doing so, Kat is again sucked back into Hekseville. There, she meets Kali Angel , a mysterious hero figure who replaced her as the city's guardian, and Dr.
Brahman , a brilliant scientist who designed a city-wide, robotic, city defense system. Brahman becomes mayor despite an attack by the Rebels , but it is soon revealed that the Rebels are right, and Brahman is a madman who plans to use the crystal-induced powers of his kidnapped "daughters", Kali and Durga , also known as Cecie , to stop time itself.
Kat and Raven, who arrived back in Hekseville along with Cecie, defeat Brahman and his daughters, killing both him and Kali and saving the city, with the help of the city of Jirga Para Lhao, which came through a tear in space through the assistance from Alias.
During the final chapter, Kat encounters a shining girl, who warns her that the "dark ocean" under the city will consume Hekseville and the world. On the advice of Alias, Kat, and Raven, who is attuned to Kat's thoughts and thus follows her, travel to the top of the World Pillar, finding the frozen city of Eto. King Cai informs her that she is the former queen, and he cloisters her in the castle due to an "illness", but Kat realizes she was brainwashed and that he is holding Raven and Dusty prisoner.
After fighting off Cai's Nevi minions, Kat is rescued by Creator Bit and forced to remember her past. She remembers Syd was one of her former retainers and that they were betrayed by her other retainer, Xicero , for wanting to save the people below from the dark ocean.
However, the Creators decided to save them, as they were swayed by Kat's altruism. King Cai releases the shining girl from a crystal within the Eto palace, revealing her to be Elektricitie , the personification of electrical energy, and he expresses an intent to hasten the world's demise using her.
The people of Hekseville are unable to stop her but are able to stall until Kat arrives and defeats her, albeit through the sacrifice of the other Creators. King Cai is enraged, and the dark ocean entity appears and merges with him and his Guardian, Wolp, into a giant monster. This dark being offers Kat a deal to make her survive the end and eventual rebirth of the world, but she chooses to defeat him with the help of the populace, and she seals the black hole by sacrificing herself.
However, a year later, Kat seems to make a return, much to Raven's shock, while Cai mysteriously escapes from police custody. Kat is a young girl with grey to green colored skin, long blonde hair, red eyes, and light defined lips.
She wears a matching headband and a long scarf that reaches past her waist. She also dons a pair of black detached sleeves with golden rings at the ends, and detached socks with golden rings at the ends and black and gold heels. And she now wears whole black socks with the rings at the top ends, replacing the previous detached socks.
The golden accessories of her clothing change color when the player changes gravity styles. Kat is a down-to-earth, intelligent, selfless girl who is willing to make personal sacrifices in order to save people in need. Despite having no memories prior to her fall to Hekseville, she is mostly very upbeat and welcomes the attention and praise of being a superhero. At times, she expresses the desire to have a romantic partner, but she demonstrates great emotional strength when confronting danger.
Kat is outspoken and sensitive to the feelings and attitudes of others as can be seen in her relationship with Raven and Yunica. Kat is not very fond of sarcasm, injustice, nor receiving cryptic advice. In both games, Kat is always diplomatic when confronting her adversaries, and won't use violence unless she feels it's absolutely necessary as a last resort.
In Boutoume, the Dream Guardian described Kat's former self as "weak" and "vulnerable," and implied that she was not a strong leader. However, after her fall to Hekseville, Kat embraces the hero role and demonstrates leadership during her missions with the police and her time in Boutoume. She can be a bit brash at times, too; she will jump into a given situation without thinking, demonstrated when she wrecks a jewellery shop while pursuing a possibly cheating boyfriend.
This was shown as she spent all her money buying various snacks in the plaza of Lei Colmosna , capable of fighting an entire horde of Nevi just for a meat skewer, and crying over said skewer after she failed to save it. In the second episode, while hanging out with Raven, the two shifters indulged in numerous snacks inside the Pipe House. During her life as Queen Alua, Kat was roughly the same person; selfless, kind, and wanting nothing more than to help people, even going against her servants' wishes of bringing people from the below world to Eto in an effort to save them from the impending doomsday.
Kat is a shifter, a person who is able to manipulate and produce gravity, at will. When doing this, her body glows red and a strange luminous heart-like object can be seen inside her chest. She can't actually fly, but because she shifts gravity, she's instead in a levitating state; when she moves through the air, she's technically "falling" in the desired direction. Kat can perform the Gravity Kick from the air by shifting gravity in the direction she aims at.
She is also able to emit a Stasis Field that allows her to lift objects around her and throw them. She uses it primarily to carry people to designated areas as opposed to for combative purposes. Gravity Rush 2 expands on her Stasis Field with a charged version called Piercing Throw which surrounds stasis objects in vortexes that allows it to pierce through multiple weak enemies or inflict multiple hits on stronger enemies.
Its secondary "seeking effect" is what allows it to hit multiple targets or do multiple hits. Heroes Wiki Explore. Top Content. Bureaucrats Jester of Chaos. Pure Good Terms. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account? Kat Gravity Rush. View source. History Talk 0.
