Its a question of efficiency and whether you want something to manage your social media, new brand or not. Hootsuite has also helped me engage with my audience, like on Twitter and Instagram, where I can easily reply to comments and retweet specific content to generate more followers interested in that specific subject based on a hashtag stream.

Hi Adey, Glad you found my articles helpful. However also try a few other tools. There is no perfect tool, however you may find a tool that helps with your top priorities. Then you could use another tool or two to help with smaller things. That tool could be Hootsuite, or it might be an alternative.

If Hootsuite works for you then that is great. Hootsuite definitely integrates with a huge number of networks and offers other features such as reports, team access and more. Sprout Social and Agora Pulse really do compete very well indeed.
However, it really depends on what you need. I think the reason that some of the apps cost extra is because some of them are offered by 3rd parties. It was a way that Hootsuite could expand their offerings without having to develop these on their own. I definitely dislike the way certain tools charge different fees to different countries. I would prefer to pay in US dollars myself. There are so many tools- but it is on my list! Any thoughts? You need to pay for extra reports and there are some reports only available to enterprise users. Hope that helps. Hootsuite offers some real good services.
